Q: CAN I BUY TICKETS FOR UNACCOMPANIED MINORS?
A: In most cases yes, if the minor child is age 5 or older. Unaccompanied minors generally require an adult fare ticket. Children under age five are usually not eligible to fly alone unless accompanied on the same flight by someone age 15 or older.

The exact policies and procedures for Unaccompanied Minor Service vary with the airline. The airline will also want to know who is collecting the child at the destination. Proof of identification is required from the adult who receives the child. Be certain that the adult who collects the child has the required identification or unpleasant delays can result.
