Paris might well be the ultimate destination for a honeymoon. World-renowned as the City of Love, Paris has a romantic vibe in every season. Maybe you have booked a trip to Paris for a romantic getaway, or maybe you have chosen it as the destination for your honeymoon. No matter what the situation is, your trip should start at the airport. Begin your romantic escape by flying first class. Buy your first-class tickets now and create memories.

Which airline to choose for flying first class to France?

Air France is the national carrier of France and a prime choice for flying to Paris. The airline has a huge reputation when it comes to flying in business class or first class. At Air France it is the famous La Première. This Air France First Class cabin offers a lot of luxury and comfort. But the service is also excellent. And not just on board, it starts at the airport.

You can expect a lot from a First Class cabin. After all, it is the most exclusive cabin available on board. The cabin has only four individual 'suites' in the front of the aircraft. When you fly La Première you have to experience French elegance and haute couture, with the highest level of privacy on board. For example, the walls and headrest are made of high-quality leather. And the storage compartments are finished with suede.

The service on board is of course also not unimportant. The crew receives special training to provide the highest level of service. The meals must be of Michelin quality. You can expect caviar, foie gras, and champagne, among other things.

You can of course sleep well on board. The 'chair' can be transformed into a bed more than 2 meters long. And watching a movie before going to sleep is no problem with the 24-inch inflight entertainment system.

Why choose Paris as your destination?

What could be a more beautiful destination for your honeymoon than Paris, the city of love and romance? You will find the best hotels, restaurants and intimate bistros, the most beautiful shops for shopping, there is plenty to do and you can immerse yourself in the exciting and vibrant nightlife.

Paris is incredibly versatile and you can do all kinds of things there. Stroll together along the quay of the Seine, stroll along the luxurious Champs Elysees, stand on the roof of the world at the Eiffel Tower, or enjoy a romantic candlelit dinner in a cozy French bistro. Also highly recommended is a boat trip on the Seine. During the trip you will be served a delicious dinner and you can talk in peace and enjoy the view.

To and from the airport

Paris has two major airports, Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and Paris Orly (ORY). Most international flights arrive at and depart from CDG, which is about 25 kilometers outside of Paris. Domestic flights and some international flights arrive at ORY, which is located approximately 8 miles (8 km) outside the city.

A taxi from CDG to the city center takes approximately 45 minutes. Fares start at €50. From Paris Orly you can reach the city in about 30 minutes, a taxi costs a minimum of €30.

You can also take the RER B train from CDG or ORY into the city. There is a train every 10-20 minutes.

Transportation in Paris

In the city, the extensive metro network might be the best way to get around. They have service to every corner of the city. Besides this, we highly recommend walking as most tourist attractions are within walking distance, and the River Seine offers a great setting for a romantic walk.

What to do in Paris?

A romantic walk in Montmartre

Declare your love in all languages for le mur des je t'aime, admire the sunset from the steps of the Sacré-Coeur Basilica, stroll in front of the easels in the Place du Tertre, stroll hand in hand through the cobbled streets of Montmartre... This charming, pedestrianized neighborhood is the ideal place for a romantic promenade. Here you come to escape the crowds and let yourself be carried away by the most beautiful, discreet places hidden in the heart of Montmartre.

Visit the most romantic museums in Paris

Paris is home to countless museums, each more fascinating than the last. And in some of those places, romance is always in the air. Such is the case with the Musée Rodin, where the building itself invites you to dream... Housed in a sublime mansion surrounded by a rose garden, the museum is a piece of poetry. Inside, among other masterpieces, you can admire the very famous sculpture 'The Kiss' and learn about the passionate love story of Auguste Rodin and Camille Claudel.

A gourmet dinner on the Seine

What could be more romantic than a dinner on the river with the most beautiful historical monuments of the capital in the background? The Ducasse sur Seine cruises offer several options for an unforgettable gastronomic experience aboard an electric boat. From appetizer to dessert, enjoy an enchanting gourmet moment, where you only have your eyes on the City of Lights...or almost. The Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, and the Conciergerie are the changing decor during this unique dinner.

Pont des Arts

This bridge is the bridge of lovers. It is also called Pont des amoureux. Couples hang a lock on the fence here, as a symbol of their love for each other. Unfortunately, that is no longer possible. Because of all the many (and heavy) locks, the bridge is in danger of collapsing. But from this bridge, you look out over the beautiful Seine and you can take a walk arm and arm. Continue on to the Pont Neuf, the city's oldest bridge.

Climb the Eiffel Tower

Of course, this attraction should not be missed on your romantic weekend away. You can take a seat in the park or on one of the benches in front of the Eiffel Tower, but you can also climb the tower. Especially in the evening, it is romantic when the lights come on. Many proposals are therefore made here. Are you going in the winter? Then you can skate yourself at a height of 57 meters. The view is fantastic. How romantic is that!

Dining in Paris

Bouillon Chartier has been serving traditional French meals at a reasonable price for over 100 years. Reservations are not possible, but waiting visitors are quickly assigned a spot. When you step into the large, traditional dining room, you have the feeling of traveling back to old Paris.

The most romantic place to dine probably is Les Ombres. A dinner in Les Ombres is a bit expensive, but you have a great view of the Eiffel Tower.

Romantic accommodation in Paris

Your honeymoon in the city of love… Of course, this also includes an accommodation that exudes romance. Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg is a hotel where you will have a fantastic time. This accommodation has five stars and is in a perfect location close to all kinds of attractions!

If you want to relax and enjoy each other for a day, there is plenty of room for that at Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg. You can make use of the fitness, steam bath, massage service, and room service.
